As one of Madison's most frequently visited destinations, our undeniable access to dedicated paths and bike-friendly routes is a part of what make the Garver Feed Mill experience so special; even during the winter. The Capital City Trail and Garver Path passes directly next to the Mill, whether on bike or foot, it is a refreshing wellness powered activity enjoyed by many of our neighbors and guests. Garver's wide lanes and pedestrian focused lot gives cyclist plenty of room to maneuver individually or in groups in addition to ample bike parking available on-site.

Garver is also host to a 11 stall Madison BCycle station on-site, just steps away from the south main enterance.

Public Transportation

Carpool & Rideshare

In the case that biking, walking, or public transportation is not an option, we highly recommend carpooling - via personal vehicle or through ridesharing platforms such as Uber/Lyft - when visiting or attending community events at Garver Feed Mill.

Carpooling From Downtown Madison
Travel outbound on East Washington until Milwaukee St. Turn right onto Milwaukee St. Take a sharp right onto S. Fair Oaks Ave. and continue until you reach Garver Green. Turn left onto Garver Green.

Carpooling From the North
Carpooling From Interstate 90/94, continue on 39-S/90-E. Exit onto Wisconsin 30 toward Madison. Exit onto Fair Oaks Ave. and turn left to continue on N. Fair Oaks Ave. Turn left onto Garver Green.

Carpooling From South
Coming from the South, exit onto John Nolen Dr. Turn slightly right onto Williamson St. Williamson St. will turn into Eastwood Dr. and then Atwood Ave. Turn left onto S. Fair Oaks Ave. Turn right onto Garver Green.

Carpooling From the West
Follow University Ave. headed east. It will turn into Campus Drive and then West Johnson Street. From West Johnson, turn right on N Blount St. Turn left on E. Washington Ave. Continue on E. Washington Ave until you reach Milwaukee St. Turn right onto Milwaukee St. Take a sharp right onto S. Fair Oaks Ave. and continue until you reach Garver Green. Turn left onto Garver Green.

Garver Feed Mill has more than 100 free on-site parking spots available for visitors. However, we greatly encourage patrons to utilize street parking and parking at nearby public parks in adjacent neighborhoods - many that are only a 3-5 minute walk away.
